In September 2026, Unikat XXI was issued as a joint publication by the PArt Foundation and the MACK FOUNDATION. The magazine was printed in a run of 55,000 copies in German and English and distributed as a supplement to the magazines ART and Monopol.
It focuses on Heinz Mack’s largest canvas series to date, SPECTRUM MUNDI. The 24 individual paintings mark the culmination—so far—of his series Chromatic Constellations and impressively continue his longstanding exploration of color, light, and space.
On the occasion of Berlin Art Week, the series was presented in its entirety for the first time at the St. Matthäus Foundation at the Kulturforum.

The monograph ‘Mack – FACE TO FACE’ by Robert Fleck was published by Hirmer Verlag Munich in spring 2025. The book was published in two languages (German/English).
The MACK FOUNDATION supported the printing of the publication, as the book provides a broad and deep insight into the wide-ranging life and work of Heinz Mack and is enlightening for any interested reader, but also for those who deal with art professionally.
The MACK FOUNDATION donated Heinz Mack’s Light Relief (1960) to the Harvard Art Museum. The hand-embossed aluminum piece, whose surface creates an immaterial relief of light, is one of the key works of the ZERO period. Founded in Düsseldorf in 1957 by Heinz Mack and Otto Piene, the ZERO movement quickly developed into one of the most important avant-garde networks of the postwar period. We are delighted that this work is now part of the Busch-Reisinger Museum’s collection.

Heinz Mack’s Dioptric Room Constellation (2018) is now part of the color theory room at the Goethe Museum in Düsseldorf. On permanent loan from the MACK FOUNDATION, the work made of color-effect glass complements the presentation on Goethe’s exploration of light and color. Depending on the viewer’s location, the sculpture made of special dichroic glass changes its color and opacity. The intellectual connection between Heinz Mack and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was already the subject of the exhibition Deeds of Light – Mack & Goethe in 2018.
